HOW TO REGISTER FOR AN EVENT

Posted on Nov 15 2011 - 1:15pm

Click on the event on the right hand sidebar of the homepage or from the calendar to enter the event page.
Click the “register” button to register for the event. If there is no "register" button, no registration is needed or speak to the organizer.
Once you register for an event, you can NOT delete your name but you might be able to zero out the attendees. Adults and scouts should be able to enter  their own numbers. Occasionally events will be individual registration meaning a scout and leader will have to register separately and events that require payment after registration may not allow editing the attendee numbers.  Contact the DuMars for help, or just put your issue in as a comment.
When you “register” you must mark the number of scouts, adults and other – “scouts” are ONLY the scouts attending, “adults” are ONLY the adults/leaders that are helping and “other” would be any other adult or child present but not helping/working.  Enter each person only one time!  If you need a ride, enter that in the "notes" column and indicate how many seats you need and you might want to say how much gear (one backpack).
When entering “adults” please go to the “notes” column and list those names and if they are a driver – if a driver then give the number of persons that can be transported. Don't forget to leave room for gear... if that takes up a seat, then don't count it.  We don't assign seating we just count seats and bottoms and make sure every bottom has a seat!
EXAMPLE: ( Jimbob, Billy Joe / 1 scout 1 adult NOTE: Bubba driver-6 )   That means that Bubba Jimbob has 6 seats available in his car for people- he has 8 actual seats but two are for gear and not availble for people.  He did not list just extra seats but all sets for people as the overall list will be counting Billy Joe and Bubba in the total number of seats needed verses the number of seats availble count!
(Shrimp, Little  / 1 scout / NOTE: need ride for 1 w/ backpack)  Now scout Little Shrimp needs a ride and he has a backpack, we can make sure he has a seat and someone has room for the backpack.
IF any parent or scout has a comment like “we have to leave early” or whatever, then they can, after registering, go to the event page at the bottom of the listing and enter a comment. Comments are viewed by all members.
